Rough Night at Willliams Grove by Sarah SchulkinsThree weekends ago, Team CHR was struck by a drunk driver in a near head-on collision leaving their truck and hauler in a ditch and the team thanking their guardian angel following a long night in nearby hospitals and emergency rooms.

Fortunately, most of the team escaped serious injury except for cuts and bruises with crew member, GREG KRUMNNOW, suffering with 2 broken vertebrae in his lower neck as well as ten staples in his head.  He’s well on the road to recovery complaining mostly of not being with the team every day right now…

Team CHR bucked it up and headed to Canada with incredible support from Tony Stewart Racing and JESSICA ZEMKEN’s crew.  TSR/Zimken supplied the car and crew for a 4th of July run through Canada and upstate New York and the team cannot thank them enough for their invaluable help

“Thanks to all of our families and fans who were right there with us throughout this ordeal,” said CAP HENRY preparing for another long weekend starting in Knoxville, Iowa.  “Without the support of Jessica Zemken’s crew and Tony Stewart Racing, we would not have been able to keep rollin’ and keep our momentum…we truly appreciate them offering up what they did above and beyond what we ever expected…!”

This Saturday night, Team CHR will roll onto the legendary dirt at Knoxville Raceway for a 410 winged sprint tune-up in prep for this year’s Knoxville Nationals the second week in August.  On Sunday, a return to Husets Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota before re-joining the All-Star Circuit of Champions schedule next Thursday at Red River CO-OP Speedway, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
