CAP HENRY and Team CHR Head South for 2013 Season Start

The 2013 season can’t start soon enough for an anxious CAP HENRY and Team CHR as the guys brace for the clippers and lake effect weather that it is the winters of northern Ohio.  Any chance to race at the beginning of the calendar year is usually an opportunity to head south and seek fresh dirt and sunshine.

Today, their bags are packed as the team hauler heads down I-75 for the “Third Annual Winter Freeze” season opener at Screven, Georgia this Thursday.  The “All Star Circuit of Champions” kicks off the new season on the 3/8 mile clay track in southern Georgia followed by two nights in Ocala, Florida at Bubba Raceway on Friday and Saturday.

“We are better prepared going into this year than we have ever been,” Cap said from the team’s shop in Bellevue, Ohio.  “With two new cars and fresh equipment, we have been real busy in the off-season focusing on the New Year…!”

The southern swing is a little more compressed this year than before as teams head over to Volusia Speedway Park the following week on Wednesday and Thursday, February 13th and 14th.  Depending on how the first five races go, an option to stay in Florida and pick up dates with the World of Outlaws will be determined.

“At Volusia, you need good motors with a lot of power to be competitive…we’re back with Kistler Engines this year and we know what they have done for us in the past…”

Team CHR will run fulltime for the fourth straight year in the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series and looking to add a couple of more partnerships and sponsors.  If you would like to get involved with a forward-thinking, family-owned team who can compete with top-dollar guys at a much better price point, please contact team owner KIT HENRY at:
