Will CAP HENRY and Team CHR Finally Race in Florida? The Forecast is “Favorable”
February 15, 2013
Just over a week ago, CAP HENRY and Team CHR headed south for what they thought was going to be the kickoff to the 2013 season. So far, “rainouts” have dominated their tour with only two nights running under the green light…BUT tonight, the weather may finally cooperate and the guys will be looking to pound some dirt…in a good way…!
With last Thursday’s rain-out, the “All Star Circuit of Champions” kicked off the new season with two nights in Ocala, Florida at Bubba Raceway on Friday and Saturday. Cap and Team CHR grabbed a 7thand 14th respectively and were anticipating a few nights at Volusia Speedway Park but “Mother Nature” had different plans.
With more rainouts at Volusia on Wednesday and Thursday, the team opted to stay for the weekend and run with the World of Outlaws as they open their 2013 season tonight. Every team will be on edge because nobody has seen any track time all week and the Outlaw regulars will be extra anxious to grab points and top spots creating an even bigger challenge for Team CHR.
“I’m excited and nervous all at the same time”, said Cap on the way into the track. “The track is going to be fast and tough to pass on with all of the rain so a good qualifying lap will be real important…”
