CAP HENRY and Team CHR Hope to Finish Strong for the Remainder of 2013!
August 26, 2013
The end of August reminds race fans in the north that their racing season is starting the final stretch, giving way to championship runs, racing elsewhere where the sun stills shines warm and one last chance to impress fans and sponsors, with the latter asking them to “include our team in your promotional budget for next year…!”
Following an incredibly impressive weekend at the Knoxville Nationals, not only did CAP HENRY and Team CHR enjoy their biggest paydays to date, they also realized that “you’re only as good as your last race” so they packed their bags, rolled up their sleeves and simply kept working as hard as they have been all season. With a couple of stops the last two weeks, most of the time has been spent moving into a new hauler and prepping for the final six weeks of the All Stars schedule.
“I’m so proud of what we did”, Cap said after the Knoxville Nationals. “I’m so happy for my sponsors, team and family…to run 10th in a family owned car at the Nationals is incredible…!”
But now the focus is on the final 9 races with a return to Mercer Raceway Park Saturday night and a double header weekend at one of Cap’s home tracks, Attica Raceway Park next Friday and Saturday.
Cap hangs onto 4th in All Star National Points behind DALE BLANEY, TIM SHAFFER and DANNY HOLTGRAVER with CALEB HELMS in 5th.
