CAP HENRY and Team CHR “Back Home” for Weekend Double-Header at Fremont!
September 13, 2013
There is nothing more fun than racing in front of the hometown fans on a Friday or Saturday night…except…well, maybe winning in front of the hometown fans on a Friday or Saturday night…!
This Friday and Saturday night, CAP HENRY and Team CHR will get the opportunity to do it again with a double-header “All Star Circuit of Champions” weekend as the “Jim Ford Classic” returns to Fremont Speedway, just 20 minutes from their Bellevue, Ohio shop.
“We won there earlier this year and there is nothing more I would like than to grab our first All Stars win of the season at Fremont…!”, Cap said. “We have been close this season but I want to finish the year with a win and we’re gonna try really hard this weekend…”
It’s been a typical crazy year with great qualifying runs, strong finishes and the occasional gremlin that shows up “just when you think you’ve got it handled” ruining a good run on a good night. The team has overcome a ton of adversity this year with equipment issues, lack of funding and “good ole lady luck” with a couple of wins, a Top 10 at the Knoxville Nationals and just plain “elbows up” racing.
“We used to settle for a Top 15 finish in the past…now I’m disappointed if we don’t get a Top 5 because I know what we are capable of and my guys just keep working hard to give me a great race car every night…I can’t thank them enough…!”
Cap hangs onto 4th in All Star National Points behind DALE BLANEY, TIM SHAFFER and DANNY HOLTGRAVER with CALEB HELMS in 5th.
