Career Highlights
So far in 2011 Cap and Team CHR are running 4th in the All Star Circuit of Champions and finished 4th in the Thunder Through The Plains Region. This comes after regrouping from an accident over the 4th of July weekend that totaled their racing rig and injured a couple of the crew members. The team has shown they can persevere and have determination to do so. To date, they have run 23 shows with 10 rain outs with the All Star Circuit of Champions; the first half of the season the team was averaging a 15th finishing position. Since July 2011, the team has had an average finishing position of 9th with 6 top 10 finishes. Out of those 10 starts, Team CHR won 4 of their heat races and only had to run the B-main two times! The team has also run 9 shows outside the All Star Circuit of Champions averaging 4th overall and 5 top 5 finishes. Furthermore, Cap and Team CHR ran their inaugural Knoxville Nationals this year winning a C-main events going from 14th to 5th on Friday night in their semi-feature before the engine let go. Cap and Team CHR finished a respectable 7th in the D-main Saturday after preserving the one motor they had left.
In 2010 Cap won the rookie of the year honors with the All Star Circuit of Champions by a margin of over 550 points and finished 4th overall in the final point standings. He attempted 43 shows making the A-main a remarkable 36 times with 6 of these shows being co-sanctioned with the World of Outlaws. He has finished 20 times in the top 15, 8 times in the top 10, and 2 runner-up positions. His average qualifying position has gone from 20th in the first half of the season to 12th in the second half. He was quick qualifier 2 times and had 11 top 10 qualifications. With a pill draw of no better than 45, he made all 9 A-main events during Ohio Speedweek (reportedly to be the ONLY rookie to achieve this). His second place finish during the winter nationals was also a first for a rookie driver with the All Star Circuit of Champions.
In 2009 Cap managed to place in the top ten in points in his first year of 410 racing. He finished 6th overall at Fremont Speedway, 8th overall at Attica Raceway Park, and 8th overall in the F.A.S.T series (Fremont Attica Sprint Title).
